Zorin OS 16.3 PRO
MAJOR blunder! (to the tune of 200 bucks)
Downloaded/installed Zoom… virtually impossible to find live customer support…
“AI” is more artificial than intelligent.
Need to uninstall zoom…
will look elsewhere for skype replacement

I understand your frustration, I been there before :). Uninstalling Zoom on Zorin OS 16.3 Pro is quite straightforward. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Via Terminal:

    • Open the Terminal application.
    • Type the following command to remove Zoom:
      sudo apt remove zoom
    • Enter your password when prompted, and Zoom should be uninstalled.

  2. Via Software Store:

    • You can also uninstall applications through the Software Store.
    • Open the Software Store, search for Zoom, and click on the installed application.
    • There should be a “Remove” button. Click on it to uninstall Zoom.

As for alternatives to Skype and Zoom, you might consider trying Jitsi Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet which are commonly used for virtual meetings and can be accessed through a web browser without needing to install additional software.
